RED STRIPE REGGAE SUMFEST

Jamaica to host mega reggae festival from July 15

LL Cool J, Mary J Bilge, Shaggy and Beenie Man to appear at Red Stripe Reggae SumFest.

24 June, 2007:

Music fans will converge on Jamaica this summer for what has been described as the world’s biggest reggae festival.

The 15th Red Stripe Reggae SumFest, beginning on July 15, 2007, will celebrate Jamaica and reggae music, claim its organisers.

Those participating in the Red Stripe Reggae SumFest include LL Cool J, Mary J Blige, Shaggy and Beenie Man.

A host of other acts are also due to perform at Montego Bay. Organisers expect around 55,000 people to attend the event.

The 15th Red Stripe Reggae SumFest, starting with a beer-inclusive beach party, would last for five days. The beach party is to be followed by the Mad Monday Mo-bay Street Jam on July 16, which is widely regarded in Jamaica as the street dance of the year.

Revellers are then given a few days to rest before the party begins again on July 19 and continues until July 21.
