Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Sahil Spa & Resorts are planning to jointly develop a new hotel in Alibaug, Maharashtra - the Radisson Resort & Spa Alibaug. Sahil Spa & Resorts is a unit of Sahil Resort, Agrifields & Farm. The company has been involved in real estate development and has commercial and residential projects in Pune and Mumbai.
The new resort will be located on 22 waterfront acres of land along the Veshvi Lake bank at Gondhalpada, barely 1.5 km from Alibaug. The hotel is expected to be opened by December 2006, with 120 guest rooms, suites, villas and facilities like ayurvedic pavilions.
Other planned facilities include a swimming pool, health club with gymnasium, two restaurants and a bar, a specialty Ayurvedic spa (offering among others, aroma therapy, ayurvedic massage and panchakarma), an open-air theatre, and extensive conference facilities.
