LucidLink brings easy wireless network
security to Japan
Interlink Networks announces a distribution agreement with Nissho Electronics Corporation
for its LucidLink Wireless Security product in
Japan
PRESS RELEASE
27 June, 2005: Interlink Networks today announced a distribution agreement with Nissho Electronics Corporation that is bringing Interlink's easy-to-use LucidLink Wireless Security software for small and mid-sized businesses to Japan. The distributor introduced a new Japanese language version of LucidLink last week at Networld+Interop Tokyo, marking a major global expansion as well as the first foreign-language version of the software.
"LucidLink technology goes well beyond today's common wireless LAN security products," said Hiroshi Wakabayashi, Executive Officer of Nissho Electronics. "Its simplicity of concept, ease of deployment and operation, as well as lower cost makes it an attractive value proposition for small and medium scale businesses in their quest for cost-effective wireless security."
LucidLink enables businesses with up to 250 wireless users to secure their wireless networks in as little as 15 minutes without technical terminology or complex procedures, using the same 802.1X, WPA-enterprise and 802.11i standards-based security employed by Fortune 500 companies. Wireless users are enrolled with two clicks, eliminating the need to manually enter user credentials, security certificates or hexadecimal keys for WEP key management. LucidLink automatically recognizes, connects and secures authorized users every time they boot up their laptops without extra steps like password entry.
It is extremely important for small & mid-sized businesses to be able to run security products in their native language. Interlink worked closely with Nissho Electronics as a trusted partner to localize LucidLink to the Japanese language, the first non-English version of the platform. The software supports 6 different size user licenses ranging from 3 to 250 users and easily accommodates temporary users such as board members or visiting contractors.
"LucidLink is gaining excellent market traction in North America and now we have a direct pipeline to Japan with one of that country's leading IT distributors and system integrators," said Mike Klein, CEO of Interlink Networks. "With Nissho Electronics providing both sales and support services, we have the opportunity to tap into an enormous customer base to help Japanese companies keep wireless hackers at bay. The enthusiastic interest at Networld+Interop Tokyo is good evidence of this demand."
Nissho Electronics will sell LucidLink through a network of resellers as well as through other distributors and direct to end users. The company's introductory sales campaign included free distribution of 500 three-user packages at Networld+Interop Tokyo last week.
