Windows Live Hotmail launched9 May, 2007 Microsoft has launched Windows Live Hotmail, a worthy successor to MSN Hotmail, in 36 languages. The launch assumes importance as the new Windows Live Hotmail is incorporated with inputs from 20 million users who beta tested Live Hotmail and gave valuable suggestions. The MSN Hotmail was launched in 1996 and the new Live Hotmail will let users experience a faster and more powerful messaging system, using flexible access via the web, by using a mobile phone or an email client. The Windows Live Hotmail will start operation from May 7 and will continue over the coming days. Users who wish to visit the Live Hotmail can sign in for an account with the Live hotmail site. Also, the users who are currently using the current version of windows hotmail can upgrade to the Live Hotmail by logging into their specified accounts and then clicking on the green Join Windows Live Hotmail button. Steve Berkowitz, senior vice president of the Online Services Group at Microsoft, said, "We're thrilled to deliver Windows Live Hotmail to more than 280 million active MSN Hotmail accounts around the world. Windows Live Hotmail represents an extremely compelling end-to-end email experience that makes it easy for customers to get best-of-breed email access across PCs, mobile devices and the Web." The major features of the Windows Live hotmail include Outlook Connector, higher productivity, more Windows-like services and higher protection levels.
