Vodafone launches Unlimited SMS, Night Calling plans for its subscribers in Mumbai

Vodafone Essar, the leading provider of mobile-phone services in India, has launched 2 new offers – the ‘Unlimited SMS Pack’ and the ‘Night Calling at 5 paise/minute’ plan – for its GSM pre-paid and post-paid customers in the Mumbai telecom circle.

According to the Unlimited SMS Pack, pre-paid customers of Vodafone can avail of 500 free local or national SMS daily, with a bonus card of Rs 89 and having a validity of 30 days.

Vodafone Essars said in a statement that, to activate the new offer, pre-paid customers in Mumbai have to send SMS to ACT SMS 89 to 144 (toll-free) from their mobile phones. The first SMS of the day will be charged at 1 rupee, and thereafter the customer can send up to 499 SMS free of charge.

Post-paid customers of Vodafone in Mumbai can send 15,000 SMS anywhere in India per billing cycle, for Rs 149. To activate this offer, the post-paid customers have to send SMS to ACT SMS 149 to 111 (toll-free) from their Vodafone mobile phones.

According to Vodafone’s ‘Night Calling at 5 paise/minute’ plan, Vodafone’s pre-paid subscribers can “talk all night” at the rate of 5 paise/minute by recharging with the Rs 22-Bonus Card. In this plan, the subscribers of Vodafone will get 450 minutes of local calls to Vodafone mobile phones, from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. The minutes are valid for 30 days, and after 450 minutes, the subscribers will be charged as according to their current local tariff, the statement from Vodafone Essar said.
