Vizio is geared to launch a new line of Theatre 3D HDTVs at the CES 2011 event at Las Vegas this week.
The complete lineup of 3D HDTVs ranges in size from 22 to 71 inches. Furthermore, Vizio 21:9 Cinema aspect HDTV is intended to offer true silver screen cinematic experience. Vizio 3D HDTVs are best suited for movie buffs, sports fans and for those who wish brighter 3D viewing experience. The pricing and availability is not known yet. The 50-inch Vizio XVT3D500CM and 58-inch Vizio XVT3D580CM with 21:9 Cinema aspects HDTV are similar to Philips display and offer a glorious 2560 x 1080 Cinema HD resolution. The small 22-inch TV may run at 60 Hz while the rest 3D E-series and 60-inch TV may cope up to 240 Hz panel. Related: Vizio low-priced 3D HDTV models
Unlike conventional Active Shutter TV’s, Theater 3D is significant as user can experience 2x brighter and flicker-free picture, and reduced cross-talk nuisance. Theatre 3D HDTVs also replace the need of bulky 3D glasses by light-weight comfortable Oakley “optically correct” 3D-eyewear. These 3D glasses require no batteries or charging without battery requirements or charging. All the Vizio E-series, M-series and ultra-thin XVT series – Vizio XVT3D476SV and Vizio XVT3D556SV boast Vizio Internet Apps (VIA), Connected HDTV platform, Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, VUDU, Pandora, Facebook, Flickr, Rhapsody, Twitter, and Yahoo! TV Widgets along with other additional apps.
Vizio XVT3D476SV and Vizio XVT3D556SV on Google TV platform provide intuitive user-interface to access apps and browsing through Bluetooth QWERTY universal remote with touchpad and built-in dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi.
Via Plus HDTVs are also compatible with Vizio’s Via Tablets and Via Phones. Few models feature Vizio’s Edge-Lit Razor LED technology with Smart Dimming controls LED display organize screen into 32 zones, while Smart Dimming adjusts brightness and turns out black when LED is completely off, minimizes light leakage and enables a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 10 Million to 1.
Certain XVT models with Vizio’s Full Array TruLED backlighting with Smart Dimming technology controls specific area of image depending on screen display. Some of the 3D TVs will feature SRS StudioSound with built-in TV speakers and a built-in EQ for improved audio performance.
All 3D models will support various 3D formats including Frame Packing, Side-by-Side, Top and Bottom, SENSIO HiFi 3D and the RealD Format to ensure compatibility with Blu-ray, broadcast, cable, satellite, and gaming.
All this sounds promising and we expect Vizio to rock the HDTV market at 2011.
