Virgin Mobile vGlide launched in India

Virgin Mobile has launched its new CDMA slider phone, the Virgin Mobile vGlide, aimed at the youth segment in India.

Priced at Rs 2399, the Virgin Mobile vGlide comes with a starter user kit worth Rs 499. This kit offers lifetime validity, free prepaid connection, 499 minutes local talk, and 499 SMSes free valid for 60 days.

The phone is available in a bright paprika color.

The Virgin Mobile vGlide’s dimensions are 47.5mm X 99mm X 14.8mm. The phone has a phonebook capable of storing 700 entries including three speakerphone entries.

The Virgin Mobile vGlide comes with a 65k color, 1.8-inch screen, and an FM radio. Other features of the Virgin Mobile VGlide include a speaker phone, travel charger, and stereo headset.

The Virgin Mobile vGlide provides users with access to vBytes – a digital portal owned by Virgin Mobile – from where they can download wallpapers, ring tones, games, Tring Tunes (Virgin Mobile’s ringback tones), at a daily charge of Rs 5.

M. A. Madhusudan, Chief Executive Officer, Virgin Mobile India, has said, “We have introduced vGlide, the first CDMA handset in India with the slider form factor in the sub Rs. 2,500/- category.”

“Besides offering the most wanted ‘sliding feature’ vGlide is stylish, matches the attitudinal needs of the youth, is feature rich, and affordable,” he added.

Virgin Mobiles also provides other offers like Get Paid for SMSing, New 50 paisa STD local, Thank God it’s the Weekend using which customers can send 100 free local SMSes, and make local calls at 30 paise by paying Rs 18.

    i like this mobile very much.i want to say that if virgin company makes this phone with inbuilt camera.
    i suggest the company make this model in with inbuilt camera.i hope you will understand my suggest and take action very soon.when you make this mobile with inbuilt camera so send me e mail.
