ViewSonic is all set to display its latest dual-boot Android and Windows Phone 7 tablet and a dual SIM Android phone at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2011).

The V350 smartphone runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS and sports a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen. The smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel camera and support for dual-SIMs. It is WiFi enabled and supports Bluetooth, GPS and MicroSD expansion.

Derek Wright, ViewSonic Europe’s product marketing manager said, “Our V350 Smartphone is one of the most functional Dual-SIM phones on the market. With Android GMS for access to more than 200,000 Google applications, it has powerful multimedia capabilities and with both SIM cards active, you can place and receive calls on it any time. The Dual-SIM proposition is compelling and will generate considerable market uptake this year.”

Second offering from ViewSonic is a 10-inch ViewPad 10 Pro tablet. It runs on one of Intel’s Oak Trail CPUs And the most interesting fact about this tablet is that it is both Android and Windows device. However the tablet will run Windows 7 Professional at the time of launch.

ViewSonic has positioned this tablet at professionals for business-related tasks and for users to perform more casual tasks. ViewSonic said in a release that it was offering dual-boot because many users are too attached to the familiarity of Windows to switch away from the OS completely, but they also want to get a feel for Android too. The ViewPad comes with a 10-inch, 1024×600 LED backlit capacitive multi-touch display. For connectivity, it supports 3G; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also offers support for Flash 10.1. ViewSonic claims that the tablet offers at least six hours of battery.

“Last month Deloitte predicted, in its annual sector forecast, that UK companies will buy more than 10 million tablet devices in 2011. ViewSonic is well placed to capitalize on this market and offers users the best of both worlds from one device, added Wright.

The company has given no word on pricing or a release date as yet. The ViewPad 10 Pro was revealed last month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and now it will also be displayed at MWC. We hope to see this new tablet compete with Motorola Xoom, HP TouchPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and the rumored Apple iPad 2.
