ViewSonic LCD CD4230 TV, HDTV VTMS243 unveiled
ViewSonic has unveiled its ultra thin bezel commercial LCD – CD4230 along with the LCD HDTV VTMS2431, and VX2433wm.

The California-based company has set new standards for large format digital signage by introducing its 13.77-mm thick 42” ultra-thin bezel commercial LCD TV.
With a high contrast ratio of 1500:1 and high brightness up to 500 nits, the ViewSonic LCD – CD4230 TV offers clear images which is also suitable for outdoor viewing.
According to ViewSonic, the LCD CD4230 is RS-232 daisy-chain capable, containing DVI and VGA ports, which is VESA-mount compliant with carrying handles and can facilitate DDC / CI communication between a PC and monitor for management, diagnostics and remote control.
The ViewSonic LCD – CD4230 TV will be available in the next quarter of 2008, and will cost $1999.
The second product from ViewSonic is another wide screen LCD HDTV the VTMS2431, which is the first LCD HDTV from ViewSonic with multimedia capabilities.
The 24” display offers full high definition images up to 1080 pixels. Integrated with ATSC / NTSC / QAM, the ViewSonic VTMS2431 TV is also equipped with internal media player and supports USB drives to display pictures and videos from external sources.
The ViewSonic VTMS2431 will be available for $499 in the second quarter of 2009.
The next product from ViewSonic is the VX2433wm with a 24” wide screen LCD TV with a full HD resolution of 1080 pixels and ultra fast response of 2ms for video allowing unparalleled HD viewing on desktop.
“The impressive 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio escalates movies, video and games with greater detail and definition especially in darker images.” the company said.
ViewSonic claims that including multiple input ports like HDMI and HDCP, users get more connectivity options for high definition data and entertainment.
The “aspect ratio adjustment” prevents image distortion, and “ecomode” automatically cuts power consumption and can prolong backlight life.
The TV is custom made for gamers and graphic pros’. The price and availability of the ViewSonic VTMS2431 TVis not know as yet.
