ViewSonic announced the launch of its MovieBook series of personal media players at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 at Las Vegas. The MovieBook media players are just three to five inches in screen size and can play high-definition video.

Built to support 1080p videos, the media player has a micro SDHC memory card slot that can add up to 16GB of space. The MovieBook is expected to arrive in stores just ahead of winter.
The VPD550T is a five-inch 800×480 high-resolution LCD touchscreen with HDMI output, capable of displaying 1080p high definition video or playing high-quality audio. The device has 8GB of flash memory, but no DVD drive.
It can display or play HD movies, photo albums, digital books and music and also has a calendar/clock, stopwatch and a voice memo recorder. It will be available in the first quarter of 2010 for an MSRP of $199.99. The 4.3-inch VPD422T media player features a 800×480 resolution screen, 8GB of storage space and 1080p video output. The VPD422T is coming in the second quarter for an MSRP of $189.99.
Designed to play back 1080p videos, the series comes in versions such as 4-inch VPD403, 5-inch VPD513T and VPD550T. The VPD403 media player has a 4.3-inch 480×272 high-resolution screen, video output support of up to 720p, 4GB of internal memory and user intuitive buttons. You can enjoy your favorite videos, music, photos or eBooks with the MovieBook. The VPD403 media player will be available in the first quarter of this year.
The company launched nine new mobiles and desktop products ranging from notebooks to all-in-one PCs at the CES. With this, the company plans to make its mark in the PC business with its power- and space-saving personal computers.
ViewSonic has also introduced the smaller, three-inch display touch-enabled media player VPD313T. This media player offers a 480×272 resolution with a 480p screen, 4GB of internal memory and supports a full range of video and audio formats. It should be out this quarter and will come with an MSRP of $149.99.
ViewSonic, a newcomer to the PC business, is looking at expanding with its energy- and space-saving media players. Its desktop units can be mounted on the back of a monitor.
The company also introduced the 13.3-inch VNB131 ViewBook Pro notebook with an ultra low voltage Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium. ViewSonic also launched two more ULV notebooks, the 13.3-inch VNB132 and 14-inch VNB141.
The VNB105 ViewBook netbook is a 10-inch netbook with an Intel Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 Starter operating system, 1GB of internal memory and a 160GB hard drive along with wireless networking, USB ports and a multicard reader. Its starting price is $399.
The last PC is the 18.5-inch VPC190 all-in-one PC, which comes with a dual-core Atom D510 processor, 2GB of memory, Windows 7 Home Premium, wireless networking, USB ports and a multicard reader. It will be available in March for an MSRP of $599.
