For those waiting for the Beatles video game, announced a long while ago, there is good news. Apple Corps., Harmonix, and MTV Games have announced they will launched The Beatles: Rock Band video game, on Sept 9, 2009.
The Microsoft Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION3, and Wii home video game console from Nintendo will make the game available to the users.
The game will be compatible with all Rock Band instrument controllers and other current music-based video game peripherals.
One can sing alongside The Beatles and play favorite instruments along with the famous band members. The game also takes the player through the The Beatles path to success. The player gets to be a part of the evolution and rise to fame of the music band.
In addition, The Beatles: Rock Band will offer a limited number of new hardware offerings modeled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr throughout their career.The video game will based on MTV’s popular “Rock Band.”
The video game will be launched simultaneously at locations in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand.
The Beatles: Rock Band will be available as a limited edition package as well as a standalone software and hardware. The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Premium Bundle for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii will be priced at $249.99.

The Beatles have sold more than 600 million albums worldwide. However Beatles‘ songs are still unavailable on Apple Inc’s iTunes.
Other major rock and roll bands, such as Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, have made their music available for sale online and have licensed music to “Rock Band” or Activision Blizzard Inc’s competing “Guitar Hero” game.
It remains to be seen if Beatles can enter the league.
