Telecom operator Tata Docomo has introduced ‘Roam Free’ plan for its postpaid customers in India.
Under this scheme, customers can enjoy incoming roaming absolutely free anywhere across the country on Tata Docomo’s national network. All outgoing calls while in roaming will be charged at 1 paise per second.
What’s more, you don’t even have to pay anything extra to avail this plan. To avail Roam Free plan, existing Tata Docomo customers can send SMS <ACT UROAM> to 121. Suggested read: Tata Docomo revises 3G plans
Currently this scheme is available on 3 Roam Free Plans namely: Roam Free 299, Roam Free 499 and Roam Free 799. Under these plans, a customer can take 4, 7 and 12 free toppings respectively. Also see: Tata Docomo launches portable, battery-powered 3G Wi-Fi hub
For example, in Roam Free 299 plan, you can choose any combination of the 4 basic toppings which are 200 local minutes, 150 STD minutes, 500 local SMS or 100MB 2G data. Similarly in Roam Free 499 and 799 plans, you can take 7 or 12 free toppings, respectively.
Tata Docomo, the GSM arm of Tata Teleservices, is working hard to overhaul its image and connect with the youth of the country. Recently, Tata Docomo roped in Bollywood youth icon Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador with the launch of a new brand promotion campaign called ‘Keep It Simple.’
