Tata Docomo has launched a portable, battery-powered 3G Wi-Fi hotspot in India at a price of Rs. 5,999.
The 3G Wi-Fi Hub by Tata Docomo is a first-of-its-kind dual mode device that can get you 3G connectivity even in non-3G areas in India. The pocket-sized 3G Hub measures 99.7 x 53.7 x 13.9mm and weighs just 80 grams.
Multiple users can enjoy the benefits of Tata Docomo’s 3G Wi-Fi Hub simultaneously as the mobile hotspot can connect up to 5 devices to 3G speeds. Tata Docomo 3G Wi-Fi Hub is powered by a 1500mAh battery that delivers up to 4 hours of working time before dying out on you.

If your device is not Wi-Fi enabled, you can connect the 3G Hub to your device through a USB 2.0 port. Tata Docomo 3G Wi-Fi Hub works on both Windows and Mac operating systems. The 3G hotspot is secure and password protected.

The basic plan costs you Rs. 750 per month and gives you 2GB of free data usage. Post that, you are charged 50p/MB. In roaming, you are charged 50p/MB in you own network and 10p/10KB in another operator’s network.
Under the unlimited plan, you get 5GB of free data at the downlink speed of up to 7.2Mbps. After 5GB and up to 15GB, you get a downlink speed of up to 128Kbps. Beyond 15GB, your downlink speeds are slashed to 10Kbps. Here also in roaming, you are charged 50p/MB in you own network and 10p/10KB in another operator’s network.
