Spying robot vacuum cleaners? One must be joking, most of you will say. Well, Samsung, at least, isn’t. The South Korean electronics giant has unveiled the VC-PL62W, the latest addition to its Tango series which was rolled out last November.

LG's new RoboKing, a formidable rival for iRobot's Roomba, is on cards. LG today showed off the new LG RoboKing autonomous vacuum cleaner in South Korea. It is not known when the product will be commercially launched, but it guarantees tough competition to the market leader Roomba.

The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to build what it calls a ‘robotic rocketplane’ – having the size of a light aircraft – and propel it into space to fly above Mars, the red planet.

Japan has said that it wants to send bipedal autonomous robots to the Moon by 2020.
