Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd has announced the launch of 3G Value Added Services for its 3G subscribers in Mumbai. MTNL will launch these new offerings along with Spice Digital, a cell phone VAS provider. The 3G value added services include 3G Video VAS Portal, Video Greetings, Video Avatar, and Video Handycam services over Video Calling.

State-run Indian telecoms companies BSNL and MTNL are reported to be in discussions to share their 3G base stations with private operators in circles (license areas) where the latter don’t have 3G spectrum.
