Intel will reveal a MeeGo tablet and smartphone at MWC 2011, which begins on February 14. MeeGo, the open source smartphone operating system developed by Intel and Nokia, was recently dumped by Nokia, along with its Symbian operating system.
Asus is set to launch laptops powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors. The flagship gaming rig Asus G73SW, its smaller version G53SW, and laptops from Asus N53SV and N73SV series are likely to be unveiled at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas.

Intel’s latest mobile processor Medfield is to power about 35 tablets next year. Lenovo has launched three new products: IdeaPad Y460p and IdeaPad Y560p notebooks and IdeaCentre K330 desktop. The notebooks would be available in the United States beginning January 2011 and will start at $849. The IdeaCentre K330 will be available in early 2011 and will start at $699.
Apple is planning to use Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge processors in its MacBook line of laptops, according to a report by CNET. Apple will switch to Intel graphics technology, thus abandoning NVIDIA's GPUs in some low-end models of its popular line of MacBooks. Presently, Apple MacBooks use NVIDIA graphics chips along with Intel Core i series and Core 2 Duo processors.
Google has unveiled a beta version of its Chrome OS. It also revealed that two companies, Acer and Samsung Electronics, have been chosen to launch Chrome OS-based netbooks in the first half of 2011.

The Intel-AMD settlement was jointly announced by the two companies. Intel is famous for its Pentium series of chips, while AMD makes the Athlon series.
