Research In Motion has launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 3G smartphone in India, on January 28, 2010.

Blackberry Presenter, a mobile presentation device from Research In Motion, has been launched at CES 2010. The Blackberry Presenter is a cute little device, which can hook up to your BlackBerry handset wirelessly, via Bluetooth.

This story obviously goes in the realm of really wild speculation while stoned. But rumours have a place when it comes to upcoming gadgets - the rapacious geek crowd need something to feed their imagination, and we won't be the first ones deny them that.

China Telecom will sell BlackBerry smartphones in China. China Telecom will be the second Chinese telecom operator to retail BlackBerrys in China. As of now, there is only a single mobile operator - China Mobile - who sells BlackBerry handhelds in China. China Telecom is the largest fixed-line telecom operator in China. The company bought out the CDMA operations of China Unicom in 2008.

BlackBerry Essex, a refurbished version of the BlackBerry Tour with WiFi, is on way. It's not clear whether Essex will be the final name of the product, since the name is so far only on the OS of the new mobile phone.

BlackBerry Pearl 9100, which may be named the BlackBerry Pearl Stratus or the BlackBerry Pearl Striker, is on its way. A video on the net shows the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 in all its glory, though it has since been pulled. (see spy photos and pictures alongside)

BlackBerry App World for India has been launched, seven months after it was unveiled in the US and Western Europe. BlackBerry App World is an application gathering and distribution service, on the lines of the iPhone App Store started by Apple.

BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) is said to be down in several parts of the globe, the second BlackBerry data outage in three months. BlackBerry fan sites and support forums are littered with complaints from BlackBerry users from across the world that they are unable to use data services on their BlackBerrys.

Verizon Wireless has announced that the BlackBerry Curve 8530 (codenamed Aries) will be launched in November 22, 2009.

RIM has announced its latest BlackBerry Bold, the Black Bold 9700, that will replace the existing BlackBerry Bold.
