Acer’s new Iconia Smart 4.8 inch Gingerbread smartphone was released yesterday at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. The device is expected to be available around May in the UK, but its price hasn’t been revealed as yet.
Acer has announced a new HSDPA capable, Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone called Liquid mt, which will be available starting March in Canada on Rogers starting at $50 with a three year contract, or at $400 without a contract.
Acer has a new 3D HD monitor GN245HQ that can be used as a TV as well. This monitor from Acer is the first to use Nvidia’s HDMI 3D technology. It will be available in March for about GBP 420 or $677.
Acer plans to release two or three new Android tablets in the first half of 2011. The Acer tablets will measure 7 to 10 inches diagonally and will use quad-core Intel Sandy Bridge processors.
