Spice Mobile S7000 touchscreen phone priced Rs 7499

Spice Mobile has unveiled its new S7000 touchscreen phone for the Indian market.

A fully touchscreen device, the Spice Mobile S7000 is a handset which allows for use as a multi format video player full touch screen mobile phone. The device has been designed in such a way that you will be able view the screen in whichever position you want to. Made to support mainstream video formats like WMV, AVI, MP4, MOV, 3GP, RMVB, DAT, FLV and RM, the S7000 boast of a display size of 3.2 inches and presents a 1280 X 720 pixel resolution and aspect ratio of 16:9.

On the memory department, Spice has brought in expandable memory of 16 GB with options to store under the hood a whole bunch of songs, videos and photographs. Connectivity features are taken care of by the Bluetooth functionality, which lets you share images and music even as you are on the phone talking to someone. The 3.2 mega pixel camera has been thrown in so as to make it double up as a web cam for chatters. Clearly aimed at the younger generation of mobile phone enthusiasts, the neatly packaged phone offers built in social networking functions with Yahoo, Facebook, Nimbuzz, Snaptu, Ibibo, Opera Mini, VuClip, Reuters and Wapedia apps having been pre-installed.

Further, the Spice Mobile S7000 comes loaded with Disney content for users who love such features. Disney flick Prince of Persia-Sands of Time comes pre-loaded so as to lure young users by the hundreds. Besides, the phone will also be loaded with Disney content ranging from mobile themes, wallpapers, screen savers and ringtones related to Prince of Persia. It is being said that Spice might also strike a deal with Disney to launch a TV commercial to promote Prince of Persia content on other Spice handsets.

These apart, the S-7000 also comes with add-ons such as an unlimited phonebook, WAP/GPRS/ADGE/Java and email options. Significantly enough, Spice has made the S7000 in such a way that it could be used as an answering machine too. Power options are supported by a 880mAh battery that promises 3.5 hrs of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby time. The handset has been made official and hits the market racks in a white shining exterior. The Spice S 7000 can be picked up at retail stores for a price of Rs 7,499.
