Sony DR-BT100CX, DR-BT101 Bluetooth headphones launched

Sony has launched two new Bluetooth 2.1 cable-free headphones, the Sony DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101.

The Sony DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101 headphones allow users to listen to music without connecting any cables and transfer voice calls to the Bluetooth device.

The company claims that both the headphones have easy-to-use controls to play music, increase or decrease volume, and skip tracks.

The Sony DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101 headphones are similar in design, the only difference being that the former has an in-ear design, while the latter covers the ears.

The Sony DR-BT100CX is available in three sizes of hybrid silicone ear buds. The headphones are available in black, pink, silver, and white.

There are technical variations too between both the headphones.

The Sony DR-BT100CX earphones have 9mm driver units inside and has a frequency response of 6Hz-23 kHz, while the Sony DR-BT101 cans have more powerful 30mm driver units inside and a 14Hz-24 kHz frequency response.

Both the headphones support Sony’s noise and echo cancellation techniques and with Bluetooth reception capabilities it can receive signals from a range of 10m.

The Sony DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101 headphones are compatible with the four A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles.

Both the headphones can be charged through USB. The in-ear design takes 2.5 hours to charge where as the other one takes 4 hours of charging time.

Consequentially, the Sony DR-BT100CX provides a playback time of 8 hours and 120 hours of standby time.

The Sony DR-BT101 headphones translates its four hours of charging time to 12 hours of playback and 200 hours of standby.

Both the Sony DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101 headphones are available at Sony’s website, according to the company.
