Sony plans to create a splash at the CES 2011 this week with a full range of digital cameras and camcorders.

Sony’s much-anticipated camcorder with a built-in Pico projector based on Opus mirror chips is expected to be unveiled at the CES event in Las Vegas. Sony with Taiwan-based Opus Microsystems have joined hands to design  pico-projectors for DSCs (Digital Still Cameras) using laser-powered scanning mirror technology. This will help Sony cameras to get an infinite focus on the image and overcome any twist and jerk. Other manufacturers are also in talks to develop DSCs with built-in Pico projectors based on TI’s DLP technology that completely relies on LED for lighting source.
