Sony Cyber-Shot H, S, T and W Series cameras launched in India

In a bid to up its market share in India, Sony India has launched new cameras from its Sony Cyber-Shot H, S, T Series and W Series, in the country.These cameras come with Sony’s Sweep Panorama technology for taking pictures with a wide field view, and HD movie technology that allows photographers to create HD videos.

Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony India, said at the launch of the camera, The introduction of Sweep Panorama and HD Movie technology will ensure that a wider consumer audience would be able to experience Sony’s technologically superior products.”

All the cameras will be available in a price range between Rs 6,990 to Rs. 29,990.

The new launches in the Sony Cyber-Shot T Series comprise the DSC-TX7 and the DSC-TX1.

The 3.5-inch Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 has a 10.2-megapixel “Exmor R” CMOS image sensor and 25-mm wide-angle lens.

It allows users to shoot movies in Full HD in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The movies can be played on TVs, PCs, Blue-Ray Disc players and recorders, and PS3.

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX7 will be available in Silver color at Rs. 22,990.

The DSC-TX1 will be available in black colour at Rs. 17,990.

Sony Cyber-Shot W Series specifications

The Sony Cyber-Shot W Series cameras, that have been launched, comprise W320, W350, W360, W370, W380, W310, and WX1.

All of these come with Sony’s new Sweep Panorama technology, anti-blur, smile detection, and HDTC connectivity.

The Sweep Panorama technology allows photographers to take pictures continuously without pause and then put the the images together with automatic position adjustment to create a single panoramic picture with a wide field view.

The Sony Cyber-Shot W series cameras can take panoramic shots of up to 270 degrees.

The cameras also enables HD video recording of 1280 x 720 pixel resolution at 30 fps. Users can watch the movies by connecting the camera to an HDTV.

The Sony Cyber-Shot W series range of cameras will be available in Black, Pink, Green, Blue and Gold.

The W320, W350, W360, W370, W380, W310, and WX1 cameras will be priced at Rs 10,990, Rs 12,990, Rs 13,990, Rs 13,990, Rs 14,990, Rs 8,990, and Rs 19,990, respectively.

The 9.1-megapixel Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX1 comes with a 3.0-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display and 20x optical zoom.

It comes with with an Anti-Blur Solution feature, Optical Steady Shot image stabilizer, and ISO 3200 high sensitivity mode for sharper images.

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX1 will come in Black at a price of Rs. 29,990.

Sony Cyber-Shot S Series specifications

The two cameras launched in this series, are the DSC-S2000 and the DSC-S2100.

The former has a 2.5-inch LCD display screen, 10.1 mega pixels, and 3x optical zoom. The DSC-S2100 has a 3.0-inch LCD display and 3x optical zoom with Face Detection feature.

Both the cameras are available in silver and black colour. DSC-S2000 is priced at Rs. 6990, while DSC-S2100 is available at Rs. 7990.

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-2000 and DSC-2100 will be available in two colors, Silver and Black, at a price of Rs 6,990 and Rs 7,990, respectively.
