Good enough to see the comments and information provided on the Soleckshaw. The point is that why manufacturer and a poor man both are made to bag from the Government in the form of subsidy. After 62 years of independence can we not think of our own resource to uplift ourselves. The idea behind the Soleckshaw may be to bring a vehicle combined with the technology. Definitely todays motor-car and autorickshaws are the technology achievements and alternative to cycle-rickshaw. Then why soleckshaw is termed as revolutionary in terms of carbon footprint and non-polluting one. On the other hand it can be termed as the use of Solar Energy in the transportation in India. Which is in infantry stage in India whereas the world has used it longer back and at a very advanced stage now. Being a true Indian, we sould respect the technology and come out with our own resources instead of bagging and bagging.

The Solar rickshaw is the need of the hour. The only concern might be the price factor. If Government comes out with some strategic planning the Solar Rickshaw can be owned even by conventional rickshaw puller. As a trial basis govenment should provide financial aid to few manufacturer and simeltenously government banks should provide loan on subsidised rate of interest to the interested buyer of Solar Rickshaw.
The Solar Rickshaw should be designed to accomodate maximum 4 persons at a time, so that at one trip the rickshaw owner can earn more money. Since the Solar Rickshaw can cover upto 40-50 kms, the rickshaw owner will be able to earn fare in one trip. This will help him to run his lively hood as well pay the loan.

Soleckshaw have two model, one is solar Panel mounted on its roof, second the battery charge at centralized charging station installed at more intensity of solar radiation. The charging cost of Rs. 45/- is expected business model for running centralized Solar Panel charging station. i can’t understand why charging cost is 45 rupee?
because we are e-bike manufacturer in GUJARAT,
we alredy devloped one trycycle which can run 100 km at 25 km/h speed in one charging cycle, and charging cost is only 10 rupee,

I think they should also add solar panels to the parasol as this will greatly extend the range & usage and lower running costs over time…sunlight is free and you have plenty of it..Still it is a great idea anyway..congratulations.
