Sirius launches compact Plug and Play
satellite radios for vehicles

29 August, 2005: Sirius Satellite Radio has announced the launch of its most compact and user-friendly plug and play satellite radios for vehicles. The radios are expected to reach the markets in October.
Weighing just 3.9 ounces, the radio is 5 by 1.9 inches and 0.8 inches thick. The Sirius Radio features a five-line screen that displays the artist's name and song title, a four-way navigation button, and a compact design. The Sirius satellite radio has 44 minutes of replay capability, allowing the user to pause, rewind and fast forward their favorite music, sports or talk program. The Starmate replay comes with "Sirius-seek" feature which alerts the user when any of their favourite songs are playing.
Some other features include "Game Alert," which prompts listeners when their favorite teams begin a game or when scores change; "Game Zone," which lists the user's favorite team scores on one screen; 30 channel presets; and one-touch access to traffic and weather reports for select cities.
The Starmate Replay, with a pricing of $129.99, has all the accessories for car including a section cup mount, hook and loop fastener, and a low profile antenna.
Weighing just 5 ounces, the SIRIUS One is of 2.8 by 4.5 inches and 0.8 inches thick. The Sirius One can be placed on the dash or console, with its sleek and reversible display. The Sirius One coming at a price of $79.99, has 30 channel presets, including a remote control and low profile antenna.
