The Samsung NC20 netbook features a 12.1-inch WXGA display which betters the 10-inch display in most of the netbooks. With a 1GB RAM, 160GB hard disk, and Windows XP Home, the NC20 is definitely flying high on the charts. Adding charm to the netbook are other useful attribute such as a 1.3MP webcam,  integrated Bluetooth, a 3 in 1 card reader, a 6-cell battery option and a newly designed keyboard.

However, the most distinguished feature of the Samsung NC20 netbook is that it is powered by a 1.3GHz VIA U225 processor. The VIA processor of the NC20 netbook gives the Intel’s Atom powered NC10 a firm competition. The NC20 will be launched on on 9 February, 2009.

The Samsung NC20 netbook will be available at a price of approximately £390 $565 (VAT included), which is reasonable for a netbook this size and feature-rich. However, initially, only the white model would be available. The black model will hopefully hit the stores in the next month with the same price tag.

Earlier this year, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled a new portable computer system, designed to take advantage of the performance capabilities of a VIA Nano
processor. That is finally coming to the market with the NC20 Netbook.
