Samsung unveils Samsung Olivia S5150 and S7070 Diva phones

Samsung has unveiled two new Diva phones aimed at women, the Samsung S5150 Olivia and S7070.

The two phones will be launched in the first quarter of 2010. There is very little information about the two phones as of now.

From what we have gleaned from preliminary reports about the two phones, the Samsung Olivia S5150 is a touchscreen clamshell phone with a 2.2-inch QVGA internal display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

The phone also features a 3-megapixel camera at the back, Bluetooth v 2.0 with A2DP, and a microSD memory card slot.

gsmarena has reported that there is an invisible internal display screen under the mirror panels, which shows the current date, time and battery status of the Samsung Olivia S5150 phone.

Unconfirmed reports say that the phone will run on the GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 network.

The Samsung S7070 has a 3-inch WQVGA resistive touchscreen display screen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, a unique diamond centre button and a quilted back cover.

The phone runs Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. Other features of the phone include a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, Bluetooth v 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB connector, a microSD memory card slot and a built-in FM with RDS and FM recording.

The Samsung S7070 will also run on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 network.

There is no information available about the price of the two phones.

Samsung has been in the news recently for a slew of launches during the holiday season. On November 17, 2009, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 Android smartphone in Europe and CIS.

The phone comes with impressive features, such as a 3.2-inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen.
