Samsung has officially announced its new 3G slider phone, the Ultra Touch S8300. The phone features a 2.8 inch AMOLED screen, 240×400 resolution and 16 million colors. LIke in every other slider phone, you get a slide-out keypad. The USP for the Ultra Touch S8300 might be its 8 MP camera and a dual-LED flash.

If its not obvious, its a touchscreen phone too. Not very impressed by the resolution of the screen, however – the just announced LG Arena KM 900 phone though offers a higher resolution, though at 800 x 480.

The Samsung The S8300 comes with 80 MB phone memory, and you get some amount of expandability with micro-SD cards up to 6 GB. Pretty good, eh?

Other features? AGPS with geo-tagging, FM radio, and HSDPA 7.2 MBPS and VGA video recodring at 30fps.

Samsung has not announced any price yet for the UtraTouch S8300 3G phone.

JK Shin, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Communication Division of Samsung Electronics said thatSamsung was committed to strengthening their portfolio of touch screen phones and would introduce a variety of handsets. “UltraTOUCH leads this portfolio as our most iconic, high-end phone and will further enhance Samsung’s leadership in the premium full-touch market,” he said.
