Samsung has unveiled two futuristic looking camcorders, the Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10.

Like Samsung’s full High Definition (HD) HMX- R10, the stylish Samsung SMXC-14 and SMX-C10 comes has a slanted body.

Using Samsung’s crystal design with a touch of color that was first seen in its flat panel HDTVs, the Samsung  SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 comes in piano Black with a touch of Red.

The Samsung SMX-C14 camcorder comes with a 16 GB internal memory and can be further extended via the available SD/SDHC card slot, while the Samsung SMX-C10 camcorder comes just the SD/SDHC card slot and no internal memory.

Both the Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10, when completely charged, will provide more than two hours and forty minutes of a filming session.

The two Samsung camcorders and also equipped with a feature that allow its users to upload their videos directly to YouTube when connected to a PC.
Both the Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 come with 230,000-dot, swiveling 2.7-inch LCD screens.

Other salient features of the two Samsung camcorders include 10x optical zoom, Hyper Image Stabilization, Active Angle Lens and H.264 compression. They also has the play-edit-share program called intelli-studio that will allow users to connect the camcorders to their PC’s via USB connection and view their recordings without having to install any suite software.

The Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 also feature Samsung’s Active Angle Lens that allows users a relaxed grip and blocks out the LCD screen, reducing fatigue and ease-of-use.

The Samsung SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 camcorders can be charged by using an AC pug in adapter or a USB cable connector.

Another interesting feature of the Samsung  SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 is Time-lapse recording, which allows users to pre-program the camcorder to record at a pre-set interval of one image every one, three, five, 10, 15 or 30 seconds.

Using Time-lapse recording users can condense long events into short, compact videos.

To simplify the video search in the camcorder, animated thumbnails are used so that when users scroll their way down the LCD screen, video icons are represented by a thumbnail that plays a short playback of the video when highlighted by the user.

“The SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 are truly unique camcorders, starting with their eye-catching ToC design,” said Reid Sullivan, senior vice president of Audio/Video and Digital Imaging Marketing at Samsung Electronics America.

“In addition to being ultra-compact, ergonomic and stylish, these camcorders offer a host of advanced, yet easy-to-use capabilities that encourage consumers to integrate video recording into their everyday digital lifestyles,” he added.

According to Samsung, the SMX-C14 and SMX-C10 will be available in Europe, Asia in May 2009, and in the US some time in July 2009. Samsung has not yet divulged the prices of the two camcorders.
