Samsung Monte S5620 mobile phone announced

Samsung has confirmed the launch of another phone in its S-Series line-up, the Samsung Monte S5620 mobile phone.Leaked photos and early specs of the Samsung Monte S5620 had first appeared in January-end, 2010, revealing a mid-range candybar touchscreen phone.

The Samsung Monte S5620 phone has a 3-inch WQVGA capacitive touch screen display and a 3.2-megapixel camera with face recognition. The phone measures 108.8 mm x 53.7 mm x 12.44 mm.

The phone runs Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 plus version user interface.

SamsungHub has reported that the Samsung Monte S5620 will offers multiple customizable home screens but now they will be numbered on the top of the screen (see Photo) and an Edit button next to the numbers will allow users to customize the home screen.

At the bottom of the screen will be the Keypad, Phonebook, and Menu buttons.

Other specifications of the Samsung Monte S5620 include GPS with geo-tagging, A-GPS, WiFi, 3G support, Google Maps 3.0, integrated FM Radio with RDS, and 3.5 mm jack.

The phone will come with 200MB internal memory, expandable up to 16GB via microSD card.

The Samsung Monte S5620 offers Exchange ActiveSync, Google Sync support, integrated Google Latitude service, and works on 3.6Mbps HSDPA on the 900/2100MHz network.

The Samsung Monte S5620 is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress MWC) 2010, that will be held in Barcelona, next week.

There is no word on the price of the Samsung Monte S5620.
