Samsung has launched the Samsung MBP200 micro-projector that was scheduled to be shipped in May 2009, in Europe.

The Samsung MBP200 micro-projector is priced at 499 EUR (about $700). There is no word from the company as to when the Samsung MBP200 will be introduced in other markets.
The micro-projector measures 107.3 x 48.8 x 19 mm and weighs 160 grams.
The Samsung MBP200 micro-projector sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The micro-projector also features a touch sensitive keypad and a 3.5mm Standard Stereo Earphone Jack.
The Samsung MBP200 helps users make use of file viewers and picture viewers like Adobe PDF, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and text files.
The micro-projector comes with support for picture viewer file formats like JPEG, GIF, Animated GIF, MBP. For music aficionados the device supports formats like MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC and WAV.
Similarly, for videos one can access formats like DivX, Xvid, WMV9 Simple Profile, MPEG-2, MPEG-4; Audio CODEC: MP3, AAC, WMA.
The Samsung MBP200 micro-projector also features a small screen holder with a telescoping pole hidden inside, which can turn a standard sheet of paper into a movie screen, document files or pictures.
The micro projector comes with a microSD memory card slot which gives the user freedom to carry around 16 GB of data with him.
The Samsung MBP200 micro-projector can be connected to mobile phones and laptops with the help of DLP(R) pico chip from Texas Instruments, which helps users to convert the micro projectors 2-inch screen to a 50-inch one in order to give effective presentations and make use of the various text viewer applications.
