The Samsung HZ35W comes with a 3.0-inch AMOLED display and  integrated GPS technology for automatic geo-tagging of images. The visual-map view feature allows users to check the location where a photo was taken, on a map, without uploading the images o the internet.

The Samsung HZ30W has neither, but features the 3.0 inch TFT LCD display screen.

Both the super zoom cameras, which succeed the TL320 and HZ15W of the WB series, feature 12.2-megapixel sensors and 720p HD video recording using H.264 compression.

They come with HDMI connectivity that enables users to connect the camera directly to an HDTV.

The Samsung HZ35W and HZ30W super zoom cameras offer the same wide-angle 24mm Schneider KREUZNACH lenses as their predecessors, but extend the telephoto capability of the range from a 10x optical zoom to an impressive 15x optical zoom.

With this, users will have access to a wider shooting range from a shorter distance. These high-performance lenses are also coupled with dual image stabilisation (IS), which allows users to capture crystal-clear images by both optical and digital image stabilizers.

The optical image stabilisation function compensates for hand trembling by shifting the lens in the opposite direction. The digital IS also ensures virtually blur-free images.

The cameras offer Samsung’s advanced scene recognition technology, Smart Auto (Still and Movie). Smart Auto has been upgraded in the new series and can now be used with video as well as with still images.

Samsung also launched three other compact cameras, the Samsung TL110, TL105 and SL630, along with the Samsung HZ35W and HZ30W.

The Samsung TL110 is 14.2-megapixel camera, while the  is a 12.2-megapixel camera.

Both the cameras are just 0.65-inch thick and have 2.7-inch LCD displays. They offer HD video recording at a resolution of 720p/30fps.

The TL-series cameras are slated for a February 2010 launch.
