Samsung has announced the prices of its Blu-ray players, Samsung BD-P4600, Samsung BD-P3600, and the Samsung BD-P1600 which were unveiled at CES 2009 in January.

The Samsung BD-P4600 will be available for $299.99 (£270), in late April 2009, and the Samsung BD-P4600 for $499.99. The Samsung BD-P3600 is priced at $399.99.
The ultra slim BD-P4600, touted to be the world’s slimmest and the first wall-mountable Blu-Ray player, offers listeners a 1080p playback, lossless surround sound support and BD Live functionality via Wi-Fi. The top-of-line Samsung BD-P4600 is 1.5 inches thick and has touch sensitive controls.
The Samsung BD-P4600 comes with a 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi dongle, and can be used to stream media from the PC and back.
The Samsung BD-P4600 comes with a stand that mounts it at a 25-degree angle, and can be placed on a table, in case users do not want to mount the player on a wall.
The Samsung BD-P4600 and the Samsung BD-P3600 come with full HD 1080p Blu-ray playback with DVD upscaling, total HD soundtrack support, CD playback and JPEG support.
The Samsung BD-P1600 is Wi-Fi ready, that is customers need to buy the Wi-Fi USB dongle separately. Samsung BD-P1600 can get content from Netflix and Pandora, upgrades, awithout the need for additional wires.
The BD-P1600 also offers multi-format disc playback (BD, DVD, CD, MP3, JPEG, AVCHD) and the convenience of two USB ports.
Samsung has said that the three BluRay players include BD Live (Profile 2.0) and Bonus View (Profile 1.1) support for picture-in-picture functionality with high definition discs.
In terms of looks, the wall-mountable Samsung BD-P4600 comes with a piano black design with ruby highlights along the outer edges.
The Samsung BD-P3600’s set-top body comes in deep black with charcoal grey highlights along the outer edges.

Blu ray players are used to run Blu-ray discs, which are optical disc storage mediums designed to supersede the DVD format. It gives a high quality video and has a storage capacity upto 50GB.
Samsung BD-P4600 was on display at the CES show in Las Vegas from January 8-11, 2009.
