Samsung B5722 dual sim phone launched in India

Samsung has entered the dual sim phone market in India, with the launch of its Samsung B5722 dual sim GSM phone.The Samsung B5722 (Duos) dual sim phone will be available in India at a price of Rs 11,680, in Pink and Dark Brown color options.

The phone has a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 256k colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It measures 104 x 54.9 x 14.4 mm and weighs 105 gms.

There is a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom, white balance, multi shots, and QVGA video recording at 15 frames per second.

The Samsung B5722 runs Samsung’s TouchWiz Lite v 1.0 user interface that allows one-touch access to social networking sites via six widgets that users can set on the home screen. The phone comes with integrated FaceBook and MySpace.

The phone features Palringo messenger that enables access to AIM, Google Talk, ICQ and so on.

The most important feature of the Samsung B5722 phone is that it allows users to use two SIM cards at the same time and switch between them without restarting the phone.

The phone has 30MB internal memory expandable to 8GB via microSD card.

Other specifications include mobile tracker, Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) technology, FM Radio with RDS, FM recording, Buetooth v 2.1 with A2DP, USB v2.0, and support for MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player and MP4/H.263/H.264 player.

The phone works on 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and GSM 900 / 1800 MHz networks. It does not offer 3G or WiFi.

The Samsung B5722 comes with a standard Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery that offers 4 hours and 30 mins of talk time and 400 hours of standby time.
