Star Mobile Entertainment app for most Indian mobile services

Hutch, Idea, BPL, BSNL, MTNL and Spice phones to offer Star Mobile Entertainment's Plus application for downloadable movies and more on mobiles.

It is called the Plus, and true to its name it will offer everything additional one can think of from a mobile application. Star Mobile Entertainment's Plus, the new generation mobile application is set to debut nationally in association with mobile service providers, such as Hutch, BSNL, Idea, BPL, Spice, and MTNL.

A report quoting company sources said that, Plus, with its tie-up with multiple mobile operators, will now be available to users across the country. Detailing the features, the report said that the Plus application will be a free download, and the service will come with a subscription charge of Rs 30 per month. In a bid to lure more users the company has sad that initially subscribers will be offered a free one-month trial.

The Plus application is available for download this application via a General Packed Radio Service (GPRS) connection, or Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). The Plus application is compatible with nearly 220 different handsets, it added.

Plus claims to be the possessing the largest repertoire of downloadable content in the country, said the report. The subscription pack enables the mobile user to enjoy downloads of unlimited video clips from TV, movies, and music, and provides the latest news and updates from Sports and entertainment. These include over 200 TV video clips per month, it said.

With more and more mobile users carrying high-end mobile phones and looking at doing more with their multimedia devices, Plus is expected to do its job. It is also reported as having the capability to provide high quality standard of video and audio to ensure the best mobile multimedia experience available. A content preview option before downloading is an added feature.
