Pantech will soon bring two dual SIM cell phone models – P1000 and P4000 – to the Italian mobile phone market.
The company sells cost-effective handsets that have mostly mid range features. It occasionally produces smartphones as well. The Pantech P1000 and P4000 are the first dual SIM phones for the first time. Related: Dual sim cell phones in India
The Pantech P1000 is a mid range device, while the P4000 is more of a high end device.
The P1000 has a 1.8 inch display. It supports dual band GSM/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, sports a 1.3 mega pixel camera; and a micro SD card slot for expandable memory. The Pantech P1000 also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio. The screen is just a 128X160 display.
This high end model from Pantech comes with a 3 inch QVGA touch screen, and a 3.2 mega pixel camera which can also capture videos. It is quad-band GSM/EDGE 900/1800MHz capable, and offers Bluetooth connectivity. The Pantech P4000 supports social networking applications such as Facebook. It also has a microSD slot for additional memory and a 1,000 mAh battery which manages about 4 hours of talk time.
These phones are likely to be available only in Italy for now. No information on prices is available yet.
