Olive Telecom launches OliveFluid Android smartphone for Rs. 10,490

Olive Telecom has launched yet another affordable Android phone OliveFluid V-W1 in India at a price of Rs. 10,490 with a 6-month Zenga mobile TV subscription absolutely free.

First the technology brand unveiled the OliveSmart 4G phone that runs Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread, and now it has come out with Android 2.1-based OliveFluid smartphone.

Powered by a 468MHz processor, the new phone by Olive Telecom runs Android 2.1 aka Eclair operating system. The OliveFluid ships with 256MB flash memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The OliveFluid boasts a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. A large screen size ensures that you get a comfortable viewing experience without squinting your eyes. If you intend to surf the Internet regularly or watch movies on your phone, you would appreciate OliveFluid’s large screen size.

The new Olive Telecom Android phone comes with a 3-megapixel camera with video recording feature. It supports MP4 and 3GP formats for video playback. The OliveFluid also supports MP3 media songs and its 3.5mm earphone jack lets you connect earphones of your choice to the phone.

The OliveFluid Android phone supports IMAP, POP3 and Microsoft Exchange e-mail technologies which let you configure your e-mail accounts on the phone. Also, OliveFluid’s Push mail functionality notifies you whenever you get a new e-mail.

Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. The Android phone features a proximity sensor which automatically detects when you are on a call and turns off the display to save battery life.

Other features include G-sensor and GPS navigation with Google Maps. The OliveFluid gets its juice from a 1300mAh battery which delivers a talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of up to 192 hours.
