Nokia 6700 Slide, Nokia 7230 3G slider phones announced

Nokia has announced two new 3G slider phones, the Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7230.Pegged as style accessories, the two phones come in bright metallic shades.

The Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7230 will be available in the first quarter of 2010, at a price of EUR 160 and EUR 100, respectively.

The Nokia 6700 has a 2.2-inch display screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, measures 95.2 x 46 x 15.9 mm and weighs 110 grams. The sleek phone features a a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics.

It works on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 and runs Symbian v9.3, S60 rel. 3.2 OS.

Other specifications include FM radio, music player, 45 MB internal memory, support for up to 16GB (2GB included) microSD memory cards, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB port, and 2.5mm audio jack.

An 860mAh battery provides Standby time of up to 300 h (2G)/up to 250 h (3G) and Talk time of up to 4 h (2G)/Up to 3 h (3G) and allows music to be played for up to 29 hours.

The Nokia 6700 will com in six colors, pink, red, petrol blue, aluminum, lime and purple.

The Nokia 7230 has a 2.4-inch display screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 256k colors.

The USP of the phone is that it comes with built-in Facebook, Flickr and Ovi services.

Other features include a a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth v 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB v 2.0, stereo FM Radio, 45 MB internal memory, and support for up to 16GB (2GB included) microSD memory cards.

The phone works on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 networks.

The phone will be available in graphite and hot pink.

The 860 mAh (BL-4C) battery offers Standby time of up to 370 h / up to 395 h  and Talk time of up to 5 h 24 min (2G) / up to 3 h 40 min, and music playback up to 27 hours.

We don’t as yet if the Nokia 6700 Slide and the Nokia 7230 will be launched in India. Nokia has just launched the Nokia 6600i in India at a price of Rs 14000.
