Nokia has launched its cheapest 3G phone, the Nokia 2730 Classic, in India, at a price of Rs 4,499.

The Nokia 2730 Classic 3G phone is available in two colors, Black and Dark Magenta, measures 109.6 mm x 46.9 mm x 14.4 mm, and weighs 87.7 g.
“Nokia has always had a holistic approach towards driving the adoption of 3G in India, both at the infrastructure and at the handset level. As the market leader, our investment into different technologies has always been aimed at being future ready and today with the launch of Nokia 2730 Classic we have a portfolio of over 20 3G enabled handsets in the market,”Vineet Taneja, Director Marketing Nokia India said.
The Nokia 2730 Classic 3G phone has a 2-inch display screen, with a QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and a 5-way navigation key. It sports a 2-megapixel camer and offers 4x digital zoom, and various white balance modes, colour tone modes, light sensitivity modes, and landscape orientation.
There is video recording at up to 176 x 144 pixels (CIF) and up to 10 frames per second.

The Nokia 2730 Classic 3G phone offers 30MB internal memory, expandable to 2GB, via microSD memory card.
It works on Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 (2G) network and UMTS 900/2100 (3G) networks.
Multimedia specs include Stereo FM radio, support for AMR, AMR-WB, MIDI, MXMF, MP3, AAC, MP4/M4A/3GP/3GA(AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, AMR-WB), X-Tone, WAV, WMA audio formats, and 3.5mm Nokia AV connector.
The Nokia 2730 Classic 3G phone comes with Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and USB v2.0. There is no GPS or A-GPS.
The phone also offers Nokia Life Tools, Ovi Mail, Nokia Messaging, 1000-entry capacity phonebook, MMS, email, browsing, and apps such as Expense Manager and Calculator.
The standard Li-Ion 1020 (BL-5C) battery offers up to 396 h (2G) and up to 408 h (3G) of stand-by time and up to 7 hours and 20 min (2G) and up to 3 h 30 min (3G) of Talk time.
The battery also provides 12 hours of music playback time.
