N-Gage Pathway To Glory wins MEF Mobile Games Award 2005

22 June, 2005: Nokia continues to make it big in mobile gaming. The highly-acclaimed N-Gage title, Pathway to Glory, has bagged the MEF Mobile Games Award. The game, which is available only on the N-Gage platform, received the prestigious award at the Mobile Entertainment Forum Awards function in London on June 15, 2005.

The jury of journalists and experts heaped praise on Pathway to Glory's innovations. Said Patrick Parodi, Chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum: "The MEF Awards salute the creativity, dynamism and growth of the mobile entertainment industry over the last year. Pathway to Glory's winning status recognises Nokia's commitment to helping drive the mobile games industry forward and acknowledges the profound impact the project is set on the future of mobile gaming."

According to Gregg Sauter, Director, Games Publishing, Nokia, "As one of the first Nokia developed titles, Pathway to Glory is a true showcase of the N-Gage platform's capabilities It's great to receive recognition for the hard work of the whole team involved in the project, especially when that recognition comes from our colleagues in the mobile entertainment industry."

Pathway to Glory features innovative and unique ways for gaming aficionados around the planet to connect, compete, cooperate and communicate in the multiplayer game mode through the N-Gage Arena. Pathway to Glory is a hybrid game of both real-time and turn-based mobile multiplayer strategy that marks a new era in mobile gaming. Packed with innovative features, Pathway to Glory includes the world's first mobile in-game voice communication with the Field Radio feature. This feature enables gamers to send voice messages to each other during the game, creating the effect of a field radio.
