MotoYuva 396 music phone launched in India

Motorola has launched its clamshell music phone, MotoYuva W396 in India, for Rs 4199 (MRP: Rs 4424).

The dimensions of the MotoYuva W396 are 128 x 160. The phone has a 65000 pixel TFT display, and offers the latest version of the MP3 player software.

With this software, users can create their play lists and organize songs according to genre, artist or album.

The MotoYuva W396 also allows users to record songs from FM radio and use them as ring tones. Another feature of the MotoYuva 396 is the Radio Data System (RDS), which provides details of the song that is playing, such as name of the artist, track, and genre.

Users of the MotoYuva W396 phone can install games and applications, since the phone supports the JavaTM platform.

The MotoYuva W396 comes with a 4x zoom VGA camera and an auto-save option.

Other features of this entry-level MotoYuva phone include an upgraded version of Music ID application, and a Web and WAP service, MOTOMUSIC. The MotoYuva 396 also provides a MOTOMUSIC scratch card that allows users to download 10 free ringtones.

The MotoYuva 396 has a flight mode feature that enables the handset to be used in antenna-off mode. The phone provides a facility to use the FM radio, MP3 player, and camera without inserting a SIM card.

The MotoYuva 396 offers regional language support, call blocking, and storage of up to 1000 contacts and 750 SMS messages. The phones comes with a 2GB expandable memory.

The phone is aimed at youngsters who want more bang for their buck. The MotoYuva 396 is stylish enough for its price, filling a gap for good-looking phones in the low-end market.
