The Motorola XT800 is one of the three phones Motorola will launch in China on 25 December 2009. The XT800 also has a code-name – Zeppelin. It goes to China calling itself the XT800, but when it comes to US, there is a chance that it might prefer its other Zeppelin name!

Basic specifications include a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixels, 3G, Wi-Fi, WAPI, HMDI port, and a 5MP camera with flash. Not bad at all! There is no hardware keyboard like in the Droid, and the overall look is ovoid, rounded – nothing like the industrial design of the Motorola Droid. Like the Droid, however, the Motorola XT80 Zeppelin will also run Android 2.0. Not the Android 2.1 that is currently running on the so-called Google Nexus One mobile phone. Initial reports said that the XT800 would have a 3.1 inch screen, but now it is confirmed that it will be 3.7 inches.

According to Electronista blog, the Chinese version of the XT800 will likely be a dual sim card phone, and might cost as much as $ 860. When Sprint and Motorola bring it to us, it will be priced less than the Droid, for sure.

720p HDMI output means some serious multimedia cred for the XT800. Will it have HD video recording too? Nah..

Some of the reports indicate that this is a CDMA / GSM dual phone, but we are not sure about that yet.

There are rumours that the Motorola Zeppelin XT800 will come to US via Sprint.
