Motorola announced, on September 22, 2009, the launch of the Motorola Entice W766 via Verizon’s online store.

The Motorola Entice W766 comes in a clamshell factor with one-touch external shortcuts to features, such as the music player and speakerphone.

The phone has a 2.2-inch display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution, 2.5 megapixel camera with video recording and digital zoom, web browser, and a 2.5 mm jack.

The Motorola Entice W766 comes with an USB port and optional Stereo Bluetooth.

Users can also access the carrier’s service such as VZ Navigator, Family Locator, e-mail, IM chat, and Dashboard.

With the Motorola Entice W766, users can back up contact information online, using Backup Assistant.

The phone comes with 35 MB memory extendable to 8GB through a microSDHC memory card slot.

The phone works on CDMA 800/1900 EV-DO. The Motorola Entice W766 supports video formats AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WMA9, eAAC+, WMV v9, MIDI, AAC+ and offers a video playback rate of up to 15 fps.

The phone also comes wiht V CAST Music, with Rhapsody, and V CAST Video.

The phone measures 1.9” x 3.8” x 0.70” and weighs around 3.6 oz.

The Motorola Entice W766 comes with a 940 mAh Li-Ion battery that offers up to 395 hours of standby time and about 330 minutes for a continuous usage.

Coming to price, the Motorola Entice W766 can be purchased online for $40 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.

The phone will be available exclusively through Verizon.

The phone will retail in stores for $40, in end-September 2009, though the rebate remains mail-in.
