The phone is interesting for sure – the swivel, the circular dial, etc would make sure the owner of this super luxury phone would stand out in a crowd. The Motorola AURA mobile phone would be available from select stores in all the major cities in India.

The uber-expensive mobile phone from Motorola comes with 2 GB on-oard memory, Stereo Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and AD2P, a 2 MP camera with fixed focus, USB 2.0 hi-speed for connectivity, Symphony internet browser. The Motorola  AURA also supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EDGE Class 12 and GPRS Class 12. CrystalTalk technology enables the user to listen to the highest level of sound quality and with the stereo bluetooth technology, it makes the audio clarity even better.

Not that most of that matters to customers who would spend money on a showpiece phone. Luxury mobile phone customers are a different breed than the geek or the college kid – here it is the looks of the phone that matters. Features are good, not critical.

The Motorola AURA phone has attributes that only a phone costing over a million rupees can boast of. The AURA phone features a 16 million color, circular display with 300 dpi resolution. It is manufactured using more than 200 high-precision individual parts. Motorola claims that the phone’s Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens is scratch-resistant.

Of course, these would be the basic requisites for someone buying a phone with a price tag of Rs 1,11,000. The smart and elegant looking AURA is priced at Rs 1,11,000 and targets users who want a luxury mobile phone designed specifically for them.

The phone has a unique look, and anybody buying this phone for his utility is sure to make a very strong style statement.

With AURA hitting the Indian stores, Motorola aims to make a genuine quality statement in the country. Faisal Siddiqui, Head of India Operations, Motorola Mobile Devices was in the best of spirits,” We are delighted to offer AURA to Indian consumers with its luxurious design, artistry and sensory experience. AURA is Motorola’s latest high-tier mobile device targeted at the trend-setter Indian who has a taste for the exquisitely stylish, unrivaled quality and sensuous luxury.” he said.
