Motorola is set to launch a Droid-like smartphone, the Moto MT710 Zhiling, in the Chinese market. Yahoo News! has reported that though the Moto MT710 Zhiling is similar to the Motorola Droid, it will use China’s 3G standard and the OPhone 1.5 operating system, a modified version of the Google Android OS.

The Moto MT710 Zhiling smartphone will hit Chinese stores on December 28, 2009.
The Moto MT710 Zhiling smartphone has a 3.7-inch resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and a virtual keyboard.
There is a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, color effects, dual LED Flash, White Balance, Scenes, and 2x digital zoom.
The Moto MT710 Zhiling will support the China-made D-SCDMA (Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access) 3G mobile standard.
The phone will come with Wi-Fi but only with support for a homegrown security protocol.
At the heart of the Moto MT710 Zhiling, is a 624MHz Marvel PXA310 processor, with 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM.
The Moto MT710 Zhiling runs on GSM 900/1800/1900 and TD-SCDMA 2010/2025. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi with specs of 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Micro USB connector, USB 2.0 High Speed, 3.5-mm jack, Mic and Stereo out.
The phone offers Video recording at 25 frames per second and Video playback at 30 frames per second. The Moto MT710 Zhiling supports AAC LC, AAC+AAC+ v2, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, .mp3, .3gp, .mp4, .wav, MIDI, and MP3 audio playback and file formats.
It also supports the H.263 Baseline Profile 0, Level 10/45, H.263 Profile 3, Level 10/45, H.264 (AVC) Baseline Profile, MPEG-4 Simple Profile, and Level 0/0b video playback formats.
