Loop Mobile (formerly BPL Mobile) has launched a new tariff plan for its mobile customers in Mumbai. With the new Loop Mobile plan, you can talk for 60 seconds (1 minute) at just 10 paise to any other Loop Mobile customer in Mumbai. Competing mobile service providers offer one paisa per second. The Loop Mobile offer is definitely cheaper than its rivals.
The new Loop Mobile offer, called Mumbai Ka Gang is open to all current prepaid Loop Mobile users. Last year, Loop Mobile had introduced a similar scheme called Dus Ka Gang. This offer is open for users in the Mumbai circle.
Loop Mobile has also announced another offer, with a tariff of one paisa per six seconds.
Loop Mobile prepaid customers who wish to avail for the first scheme (10 paise/minute) must refill their SIM cards with Rs 29, Rs 49 or Rs 236. The refills will have validity of 15 days,30 days and 30 days respectively. with a talktime of Rs 200 respectively and to avail of the second scheme (one paise/6 seconds) customers must refill with Rs 28, Rs 47 or Rs 235 denominations having validity of 15 days,30 days and 30 days, Loop Mobile said in a press release.
“We are extending both the popular concept and the various benefits to all Mumbaikars with this plan, hence the name “Mumbai ka Gang,” said Loop Mobile Marketing Head Faiyaz Ali.
Loop Mobile claims that the “Mumbai Ka Gang” is better than similar one paisa per second schemes offered by several rival mobile phone service providers. Most telecom operators have boarded the one paisa per second bandwagon, after Tata DoCoMo pioneered the scheme in India. India’s cellphone rates are one of the lowest in the world, prompting many mobile services providers in India to look for growth outside the subcontinent.
