LG has unveiled its latest Android 2.2 phone called the LG LU3000. The phone is said to be one of the fastest smartphones in the market.
LG claims that the phone is capable of beating the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S in terms of application loading speeds and processing power.
Let’s take a look at the specs of the LG LU3000. It is powered with 1GHz OMAP 3630 processor and runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo platform. Android 2.2 is the first version of the Android OS capable of playing Adobe Flash content.
The phone comes with a large 3.8-inch WVGA in-plane switching (IPS) touchscreen capable of handling 1080p HD video. The IPS screen offers wider viewing angle as seen in the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The LG LU3000 features a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash along with HDMI output.

The company claims that the phone is faster than its rivals, but how does one measure this speed? The company says measuring the speed of the device can be done by measuring the time taken to start any standard application such as YouTube, claims LG. If this phone comes to India, this would easily find its place in our top Android phones list.
LG has been launching good smartphones in recent times. The LG GT540 Optimus smartphone has been running in the Indian market quite successfully. But that was an Android 2.1 Éclair based phone that has been on offer since August 2010. Now, with the introduction of the LU3000, expectations are running high. LG has decided to make the LU3000 available only in the Korean market for now. There is no word on the pricing of the smartphone and about its U.S. launch.
