LG launches GM730 smartphone in India for Rs.19,000

LG Electronics has launched its new smartphone GM730 (also known as Eigen GM730) in India. The phone features a 3-inch WQVGA resistive touchscreen display with resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.  LG GM730 smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,000 in India.

LG GM730 sports a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording capabilities. The GM730 provides camera resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. It also has a front-facing VGA camera for video calling feature. Also see: LG Optimus One in India

The LG smartphone measures 109.8 x 56.5 x 11.9 mm and weighs 123 gms. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, which means users can also open Word, Excel or PowerPoint. The GM730 supports LG’s S-Class Touch UI and is powered by Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor. Moreover, LG GM730 smartphone has 289MB internal memory and supports up to 16GB of memory that can be expanded via microSD card slot. The phone comes integrated with social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.

For connectivity, the GM730 supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth and A2DP. Through Wi-Fi, users can connect to wireless networks within the range and also transfer files easily. The LG smartphone also comes with GPS and A-GPS support for navigation function. The GM730 includes Li-Ion 1000 mAh battery. Moreover, it has features like MS Pocket Office and PDF reader. It also supports audio player, FM and MP4/H.263/H.264 player. Its media player can play MPEG4 and DivX files.

In addition, LG GM730 supports 3G HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2.0 Mbps for better Internet access and email management. The smartphone is equipped with TomTom Nav 7 application and includes a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
