LG has announced the launch of its new low-end messaging cell phone, the LG GW300 and their new Chocolate Black Label Series cell phone.
The LG GW300 is a low-end messaging phone with in-built Facebook and email clients, and a complete QWERTY keypad.
The phone features a 2.4” screen with 240×320 QVGA display, stereo Bluetooth and USB 2.0. The LG GW300 phone weighs a mere 95 grams and supports 2.5G GSM, GPRS/EDGE networks, but does not support 3G and Wi-Fi.
The phone also features a camera whose resolution is unknown, There are no details available as yet about the price or release date of the LG GW300.
LG has also officially announced the launch of its high-end new Chocolate Black Label Series mobile phone which is expected to hit the markets by August 2009.
Although LG has officially announced the launch of the LG Chocolate phone, which it calls the Next generation Chocolate phone, it has not provided any specifications of the cell phone.
LG has posted close-up teaser photos of the cell phone which look good but it is too early to pass a judgment on the phone without knowing the specs list.
LG has said that the new phone will showcase a highly distinctive design that takes optimal advantage of the device’s features and performance.
The company added that the new LG Chocolate Black Label Series phone will be a “disruptive force in conventional mobile screens in an effort to maximize usability yet carry on the minimalist-inspired style and iconic design of its predecessor.”
Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said that with the new LG Chocolate Black Label Series, LG is returning to an all-time favorite to re-create the original experience.
“Over 21 million Chocolate handsets have been sold across 54 countries to date and we believe the next generation Chocolate will have a tremendous impact on the market, extending the growth that LG experienced during the first half of this year,” he added.
The new LG Chocolate phone is the fourth phone in the LG Chocolate Black Label Series line-up.
The other three models in the LG Chocolate Black Label Series line-up are the LG Chocolate KG800, the LG Shine and the LG Secret that was launched in May 2008.
The new LG Chocolate phone will be launched in August 2009.
