The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 is a low-end version of the original LG Cookie KP500. LG had announced the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh in early February 2010, but was not too forthcoming with the specifications of the phone.

What is known is that the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh will be a full touchscreen phone aimed at tweens. Loosely translated it would mean that the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh will come with social networking integration.

It will feature a 3.0-inch touchscreen display screen, 2-megapixel camera, FM Radio, and 3.5-mm jack, but no 3G connectivity.

LG had recently launched the successor to its LG Cookie KP500 phone, the LG GS500 Cookie Plus touchscreen smartphone. At the time of the launch, the company had said that it would add more phones to it Cookie line-up in 2010. It looks like the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh will be the first new addition to LG’s Cookie line-up of phones.

The LG Cookie KP500 smartphone has a 3.0-inch full touchscreen, 3.15-megapixel camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth, USB v2.0, microSD slot, and LG’s peer management application LiveSquare.
