LG Arena KM 900 smartphone launch soon

LG is set to launch the LG Arena KM 900 smartphone in Barcelona. This touch screen smartphone from LG is expected to come at a price of Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 in India. Going by the features and specifications of the LG Arena KM 900, this is likely to be one of the premier top-end mobile phones with touch screen, GPS and smartphone capabilities in India.

Other smartphones currently in India with touchscreen and similar features cost between Rs 27000 to Rs 40,000.

However, it is unclear about the possible price of the LG Arena KM 900 in foreign markets. This is because unlike in India, mobile phones in North America (including US and Canada) and the Europe are usually bundled with various cell service providers, which differs widely from place to place. For instance, the price of Blackberry Storm is nil in some parts of Europe, if you buy it from select service providers with a committed talk plan.

According to LG, the phone will have a 3-inch WVGA touch screen, with 800X400 pixels resolution. Do not forget that most of the cellphones with smartphone capabilities and a touchscreen currently in the market have 3.2 inch screens. LG said that the Arena phone will also have a unique cube layout for the home screen. Simply put, this means that a cube appears on the home screen, and you “rotate” it to access the different sides, which will correspond to different folders and menu functions. The LG Arena KM 900 will also sport a 5-megapixel camera, which LG says, will record stills and videos with DVD quality. It goes without saying that the LG Arena KM 900 will have Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi and GPS preloaded. The Arena is also 3G-ready.
